Privacy Statement

We Value Your Privacy

We value our users and recognise their right to keep Personal Information private. In general, you can visit our site without revealing any Personal Information about yourself. However, use of certain services may require you to provide Personal information when you apply for a job. This statement discloses our Personal Information gathering, usage and disclosure. “Personal Information” means information that would allow a party to contact you. For example, your full name, address, telephone number and email address.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of text stored on a user’s computer by a web browser. We use cookies to provide you with a better experience. For example, when you re-visit our site from the same computer, your browser ’remembers’ your last search by using a cookie. Then, this cookie allows you to use the feature ‘My Last Search’. Users who do not wish to receive cookies can instruct their web browsers to refuse or disable them. However, doing so may prevent access to some of our services.

Aggregated Information

We may track the total number of visitors to our site, the number of visitors to each page, IP addresses, traffic to External Web Sites (defined below) and the domain names of our users’ Internet Service Providers. We may also monitor directly or through a third party:

  • The number of unique visitors (unique browsers) to our site.
  • How long these unique visitors (on average) spend when they visit our site.
  • The number of page views / impressions.
  • Common entry and exit points from our site.

We may analyze this data for aggregated statistics, but such information will be maintained, used and disclosed in aggregate form only and it will not contain Personal Information. We may disclose this aggregated information to other entities to improve the content and general administration of our site.

IP Address

Snipey’s web servers (which are hosted by a third party service provider) may collect information indirectly (through, for example, the use of your “IP address”) about your activities while visiting our site, including the web pages you view, the times you view them and information about the browser you are using.

An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. In some cases your IP address stays the same from browser session to browser session, but if you use a consumer internet access provider, your IP address probably varies from session to session. We may gather your IP address to assist us with the diagnosis of problems or support issues with our services. However, information is gathered in aggregate only and is not traced to an individual user. We do not link browsing information to Personal Information.

Links to External Web Sites

Our site provides links to other Web sites or Web sources or resources over which Snipey does not have control. These links do not constitute an endorsement by us of those external Web sites. Snipey is providing these links to you only as a convenience and we cannot be responsible for the content of such external web sites. Your use of external web sites is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of these external Web sites.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Although we may disclose aggregated information about the use of our site, that information does not contain Personal Information. We do not disclose Personal Information to third parties in the normal course of operations. Under certain circumstances, however, we could be legally obligated to disclose information to the government or other third parties.

Privacy & Site Changes

From time to time, Snipey may review and update its privacy statement. Revised versions will be updated on the website.
